Students who don’t have Microsoft office can now get it for free.

On February 4th, Ms. Schneider announced that students are can download Microsoft software for free on up to five family computers and five family tablets, smart phones, or any other mobile devices.

Microsoft products that are available are Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, OneNote, Outlook, Skype, etc. You can download these products on the DOE website. Students who are interested need to enter their child’s birth date and phone number or valid email address.

Information that is entered must match with the information on the student’s blue card. A legal guardian can make any changes to the contact information by visiting the main office. Updating contact information may require a government-issued photo for identification.

“The Microsoft software lets students write essays in a more professional way. I haven’t used it, but I would like to use it to write my essays,” senior Elijah Harris said.

Families can download this software anytime; there is no deadline.
“Students can download these software on the DOE website for free. Whenever you have something for free, take advantage of it,” principal Mrs. Schneider said.
