Student ambassadors and the history club have joined forces to create the Knowledge Bowl.

On Wednesday, March 2nd, the knowledge bowl will take place during 7th and 8th period in the auditorium.

Order forms will be given out to students who are interested in buying wristbands. Wristbands come in a variety of colors: blue, red, black, and purple. Each wristband will say #WJPSGENIUS2K16.

Ten students in each grade were chosen by their teacher to participate in the competition and represent their grade.

To start off the knowledge bowl, 6th and 7th grade representatives will verse each other. After the winners are announced, that grade will verse the 8th grade. Winners from one of those grades will verse the 9th grade, and so on.

“I created the knowledge bowl because it’s a great way for students to compete academically in a healthy way. The purpose of the knowledge bowl is to show students that there is a purpose to compete academically. I think it will benefit students because it will show them that competition can be used in a healthy and beneficial way,” freshman Medina Surajpal said.

Students will be asked 10 to 15 trivia questions and will have a short amount of time to answer them.Winners will win a pizza party for their grade.

“I created the knowledge bowl along with a few other students because it is the perfect way for students to interact with other students. I hope students will get something out of this experience, like learning how to work with each other,” junior Amina Chowdhury said.
