New member added to the family

On December 10 Lourdes Cuesta became the school's new AP(assistant principle). She is in charge of the safety and security of the school as well as attendance, advisory, and anything student service related. On December 10th, Lourdes Cuesta was added to the list of faculty members.

Ms. Cuesta will be in charge of safety and security in the school. She will also be concentrating on attendance, advisory, and anything student service related.

“We welcome her and she’s a great asset to the family,” assistant principal Mrs. Poulos said.

Before Ms. Cuesta came to this school, she was an assistant principal, in charge of guidance, attendance, and student affairs. She was also involved in the pupil personnel service, which is service that is provided to students in 12th grade and below.

“She’s going to have high expectations for students and hopefully develop good relationships with them and she is also an excellent fit for this school,” principal Mrs. Schneider said.

Apart from her work background, her parents are Cuban, which explains why Spanish was her first language. She often tells people she is born on an island, called Manhattan.

“I want to help students formulate their next step of college and careers,” new assistant principal Ms. Cuesta said.
