As the seasons change and the leaves fall, the opportunity to explore haunted houses begins. 

Haunted house during the Halloween season is one of the most common festivities, aside from trick-or-treating, costume parties, and pumpkin picking.

Some haunted houses located near or in New York include the Brighton Asylum located in New Jersey, Blood Manor located on 359 Broadway, and Bayville Scream Park located in Bayville, Long Island.

These haunted house locations offer many other activities such as haunted hay rides, pumpkin patches, and live music. 

The “Halloween House” is a more family-friendly house in Hicksville, Long Island. There is a haunted house that is “kid-friendly” for those bringing little ones along or for those who only enjoy a slight scare. 

WJPS junior, Carlos Sevilla said, “I have never been to a haunted house before, but am looking forward to this year, especially one called Brighton Asylum. I saw it on TikTok and it looks scary.” 

WJPS senior, Maleny Argudo said, “I want to go to a haunted house so bad this year, but a really really scary one. I booked a reservation for one called Bayville Scream Park. I hope it’s as good as it seems on Instagram.”
