After having a cold spring, the weather is finally warming up.

This is the best weather!

In the morning it’s a little chilly, but in the afternoon the sun is blazing hot, getting people ready for summer.

Climate change has always been an issue. This year, 2023 is supposed to be ranked among the 10 warmest years in history according to the National Centers for Environmental Information.

Anthony Cina, WJPS senior, said, “I love the warm weather, but New York’s weather recently has been weird because like last week it was cold, but now it’s finally gotten warmer.”

WJPS senior, Charlize Goicochea, stated, “This week has been so nice. I like the summer and I rather have it sunny than what it was last month where it was raining like every other day.”

George Vlantis, another WJPS senior, mentioned, “It finally feels like summer. I like the weather where it’s enjoyable because when it’s cold and rainy, it’s not fun.”

No more hoodies, now it’s summer time. 

As the school year is ending, students are enjoying their last few weeks of school with sunny, fresh air.
