Need for Nature

Need+for+Nature

Students in WJPS have to deal with the stress of getting good grades, dealing with their parents and social media. It would be a good idea for students and staff to have the opportunity to visit a camp.

Giving them the opportunity to have a good trip with nature can help them connect with the environment and learn a lot of survival skills just in case they are in a predicament with no technology. While doing a camping trip they can get time to meditate and have fun with their peers.

WJPS sophomore, Kayla Nunez stated, “I think it’s good because of more experiences and stuff.”

Dr. Werner, WJPS principal stated, “I think camping trips are a great idea, when planning a trip there are things you have to take in consideration such as cost, weather, catering the buses and getting chaperones.”

Ms. Muriel, WJPS student aide for the guidance office stated, “Nobody wants to be in a box for eight hours a day. To get out to go to another box which is home.”

Students could meet with staff members to discuss ways to persuade administration to start having outside trips to take a break from school. Students can persuade the student government to bring awareness to having a schoolwide camping trip.
