WJPS students are required to wear black or navy sweatpants. Along with black, gray or blue shorts, running shoes and a WJPS logo t-shirt to the gym.
Although that is the essential attire for gym, students can be just as athletic and cooperative while wearing more comfortable clothing and shoes.
A junior in WJPS, Oliver Gonzalez said, “I would love to wear jeans or whatever we wanted to the gym because it’s so annoying to change.”
If students feel the need to wear comfortable yet professional closed toe shoes like uggs or wear their usual attire it is possible they would still be able to actively participate.
A sophmore in WJPS, Kayla Nunez said, “I want to wear whatever we want to the gym because I wear Uggs and the teachers usually lower my grade even though I participate.”
