Wordle is a word guessing game in which you have six guesses to get a five letter word whilst getting clues from each guess.
When you type in a word, letters will either turn gray, yellow, or green.
Gray indicates that letter is not in the word, yellow means that letter is in the word, but is not in the correct spot, and green shows that the letter currently in the box is in the correct spot. The goal is to make all the letters green, ultimately guessing the word of the day.
Each day Wordle releases one puzzle for players. It has become popular to many people of all age groups. Many students have made it part of their daily routine to play Wordle and post their results to social media.
WJPS freshman Arianna Distl said, “It has become part of my everyday routine. I always find time to play my daily Wordle.”
WJPS teacher Mr. Lai coded his own version of Wordle, so people can play more than one Wordle a day as he encourages his students to play.
WJPS junior George Vlantis stated, “My friends and I are always trying to guess the word in less tries than each other.”
