Vaping is a serious issue that can lead to other substance abuses. It is also becoming a massive problem in our school. 

Imagine trying to use the bathroom, and students are wasting a stall to vape. 

Adding vaping detectors can possibly lower the amount of students smoking.

Athena Porter, a WJPS freshman stated, “No, adding vaping detectors wouldn’t help because kids are sneaky and will find their way around it.” 

Frenesi Reyes, another WJPS freshman said, “No, it’s not going to help because kids will keep doing it because they are addicted.” 

Mr. Uchena, WJPS substance advisor commented, “Yes, it would help a lot, but it’s deciding where to put them because it would make the school a much better place.”

Physical education teacher Mr. Strassberg said, “Yes, I believe that vaping is a huge problem that a lot of kids have nowadays and adding vaping detectors would help so much.”
