Keeping up with the Seniors

Group of four WJPS seniors

In less than four months WJPS seniors will be graduating and heading off to college. Most will spend the next four years in a different school with different people.

Some of the seniors have spent the last seven years in this school, starting in sixth grade, the others coming in ninth grade.

WJPS senior Kathrynn Montero said, “I’m excited because I get to depart from everyone in this school. In a good way I feel like throughout these four years of high school I have seen the same faces and I’m ready and excited to meet new people and see new faces.”

The Class of 2020 has many events coming up like the senior trip, awards ceremony, prom, and graduation.

Senior Kate Scotchie said about graduating, “I’m excited to graduate, but I’m also nervous at the same time. I’m so used to the environment here and it’s going to be a hard transition into college.”

As of recently, many seniors have been receiving their acceptance letters to the schools they applied to, while some have already committed to their college.

Gabriella Casabianca, another senior, says “I’m ready to graduate, I’m excited and nervous to see what’s in my future.”
