The video game industry makes numerous games annually. One video game type are war games.  

Even though war games are fun, they have their disadvantages such as containing violent scenes which can encourage players to act in the same way.

They are also a possible health hazard because people’s vision can be impaired by the game’s flashing lights.

Other health hazards include: aggressive behaviors, thoughts, and emotions, as well as seizures and in extreme cases, death. 

WJPS sophomore, Hamza Ariyan said, “I think they are very good. They teach people about history. I think they are very informative.”

Brandon Levy, a senior at WJPS said, “I think they are fine. I don’t think they cause violence. It allows people to live through these events. If they accurately depict war events, they are good.”  

Even though war video games may accurately depict real war events, they may be negatively impacting players by ruining their vision and pouring violent thoughts into their heads.
