New York has five boroughs. They are diverse and contain a lot of different types of people. Many people like where they live, but some people don’t. 

Whether you live near a fancy restaurant, in a rich environment filled with wealthy people or underprivileged people, you have the freedom to immerse yourself in the environment that fits your needs.

WJPS 10th grader, Cayla Jordan said, “There is honestly not a lot of things I love about it, but I like the culture because at least my area hasn’t been gentrified yet, so it still very culturally vivid.” 

11th grader Nadeem Pathan said, “What I like about my neighborhood is that everything is close by me, you can turn around the corner and find a deli, supermarket, go to the gym real fast and the park, everything is real close like the library.”  

Zachary Evans, a WJPS junior said, “I love that there is a deli every few blocks away from me, I can easily get food and I like the park nearby because I can play with my friends there.”

“Where I live people are nice, sometimes I go to their house to play. This place is really good because no people are racial, people are nice since I am new to the country,” said WJPS 10th grader Song Yin Yang.
