Recently it has been revealed that Google is working with Ascension, one of the largest nonprofit health organizations in the nation, in an attempt to collect personal health information from Americans who are using their product. Google then confirmed their partnership with Ascension, explaining the intended purpose and that it was in early development. 

This project, known as Project Nightingale, wishes to utilize the information for machine learning algorithms that would suggest medications and diagnoses for patients.

Google will be bringing the data on the cloud to organize medical data for ease of access and they will also prioritize network security, connectivity and data integration as a means to keep this information secure. 

It will also be used it to improve the services for doctors and patients, so that information is provided in real time. Google also stated that it has an agreement with Ascension, allowing the usage of the data to be strictly governed.

Google had acknowledged the concern expressed by some and have allowed people to ask questions of the operation to ensure that they meet their goal while listening to the people involved.
