World Journalism Preparatory School’s seniors are currently applying to college.
“Being a senior is honestly not as bad as I expected it to be. It’s not as bad as junior year, you just have to stay consistent.” says WJPS senior Louis Sucre.
When asked about applying for college, he continued, “Applying has been very stressful. Make sure you use CUNY and the Common App because those can help you, and if you need help ask Mr. Lumetta, he can help with everything.”
“It’s pretty light. I thought we were going to have a lot more fun. College applications haven’t been too hard for me, it’s just putting in information. It’s just a little tedious to do,” said WJPS senior, Frankie Locasano.
Mr. Petrotta, WJPS assistant principal, said, “Anxiety is always high around this time of year for seniors because there is so much to do in such little time. For the application process this year, it seems like they’ve moved the deadline closer and closer to September, so I know it can be overwhelming for students. But, as long as they take it one step at a time and make sure they’re doing what they are asked to be doing, they should be fine.”
