What Is Bluetooth and What Does It Do?

What+Is+Bluetooth+and+What+Does+It+Do%3F

Bluetooth is a wireless technology that uses low energy radio waves to send wireless data between Bluetooth enabled devices. It’s similar to Wi-Fi that it operates over radio waves.

You can use it for file transfers between that smartphone and your tablet, you can also connect it to portable speakers and headphones, or for hooking up a wireless mouse or keyboard to your PC or laptop. It works by sending information over ultra-high-frequency radio waves.

Bluetooth typically works symmetrically, with one device to connect to another. Unlike Wi-Fi, Bluetooth connections do not use up your cellular data package, they aren’t transmitting data over the airwaves in the same way. It operates over short distances to conserve power.

Bluetooth can be easily upgradeable and it has a range better than Infrared communication. It is used for voice and data transfer. Bluetooth technology is adopted in many products such as a headset, car system, printer, webcam, GPS, keyboard and mouse.

It can lose connection in certain conditions, it had a low bandwidth as compared to Wi-Fi. Bluetooth allows only short-range communication between devices. It can be hacked by other device owners.
