Virus Sites: What to do

Virus+Sites%3A+What+to+do

On the Internet, there’s over a billion of websites that all have their own uses, from watching videos to buying products online. Even though it’s popular, there are trusted websites out there, some websites are prone to be virus sites.

A virus is a piece of computer code which copies itself to corrupt the system, causing and destroys the computer’s data. Most common ways to get a virus is by clicking on advertisements on websites, opening unknown links, or downloading software from untrustworthy websites.

The effects of a virus are on a spectrum. Your computer could go from being sluggish, unresponsive, or incredibly slow to being completely destroyed. People can easily make their own viruses, which destroys your computer and its files in different ways.

For example, a popular virus that demolishes your computer is the Memez virus. This virus is downloadable by choice and consists of random Google searches, repeatedly opening different windows, and allows you to have fun while your computer slowly becomes inaccessible.

To prevent getting a virus, it’s wise to invest in a trustworthy antivirus program such as McAfee or Norton so you know you’re safe. Downloading random antiviruses off the Internet isn’t the best option, it’s better to pay for a subscription to one of the best computer protections.
