Rock may not be dead after all. Famous bands Weezer, Green Day, and Fall Out Boy have announced that they will be traveling the globe together, in the Super Hella Mega Tour. The tour will take off in 2020.

Weezer plans to release an album titled Van Weezer and is due in May. All three bands have released new singles. Green Day released Father of All —-, Weezer released End Game, and Fall Out Boy released Dear Future Self (Hands Up) [feat. Wyclef Jean].

Locally, they will put on a show at the Citi Field stadium, in Willets Point. Tickets are being sold quickly and in some places have already sold out. 

WJPS junior, Sasha Romero, shared her opinion on Fall Out Boy. “Their music is really good and I would love to see them at Citi Field if I could.”

Another WJPS junior, Holly Anderson, said “I think it’s great that they’re doing a tour…and for the people that go, it should be a lot of fun.” She also said, “I still listen to some Weezer.”           

Billie Joe Armstrong has expressed his excitement about touring with Fall Out Boy for the first time, and “going back in time” with Weezer. He has known River Cuomo, the lead singer of Weezer since 1994.
