Eli Manning has flourished to be an excellent team leader for the New York Giants. The team which has regrouped after losing numerous players from it’s 2008 Super Bowl 42 win, has done the unthinkable once again.
Getting to the playoffs seemed impossible for the Giants. But after being an underdog in each playoff game they played in throughout the 2012 playoffs, the Giants are now headed to the Super Bowl.
In his eighth season with the Giants, Eli Manning deemed himself as an “elite” Quarter Back before the season began. The younger Manning became a dangerous presence in the fourth quarter with an NFL record 15 fourth quarter touchdowns. With an astonishing 4,993 yards in the regular season, Manning had the fourth highest amount of passing yards in the league. For a QB that has been mildly mediocre throughout his career, Manning has proved to critics his focus and determination for the game.
Head Coach Tom Coughlin, Defensive Coordinator Perry Fewell, and Offensive Coordinator Kevin Gilbride has made the necessary changes to earn a spot in Super Bowl 46 in Indianapolis. The team has responded to these changes in an unbelievable way. Fans in New York are thrilled. Hopefully for them, the Giants will take a leap of faith to bring the famed Vince Lombardi Trophy back to the ‘Big Apple.’
