Epic Games has now given many players the update they’ve been desiring, an increase in base damage for the pump shotgun. This has been awaited for multiple months, which is also known as two of the in-game seasons.

They nerfed the pump in Season Four due to an abundant amount of complains. From a pump doing 220 HP to a player with 200 HP, it got nerfed to 170 HP for a headshot. This aggravated many players.

World Journalism Preparatory School junior, Ryan Keane said, “I’m really glad they figured out how to make the pump balance, the game is in a much better state right now. Before, Fortnite was un-enjoyable and now one pumping is incredible.”

Now, Fortnite seems to be in a much better position and shotguns are more efficient in doing damage, which is what many have been wanting. WJPS junior, Frankie Locissano said, “ever since the game became SMG predominant, I stopped playing because the pump nerf was agitating. Now that I heard about the shotgun buff, I’ve been genuinely enjoying playing Fortnite.

Overall Epic Games, the developers of Fortnite, have released the most needed update according to several streamers and general players.
