Beloved actor, Doris Roberts, has died at the age of 90. She passed in her sleep due to natural causes.
She was well-known for her role as Marie Barone on the hit sitcom, “Everybody Loves Raymond”. The character of the nosy, overbearing mom won her four Emmy awards, a Screen Actors Guild, and three Emmy nominations.
“It sucks that someone with such a long and rich acting career died, but at least she lived a full life,” junior Jeremy Mosesson said.
Several actors have tweeted their condolences. Kathy Bates said, “What a dame!! Generous. Kind. Hilarious. You will be missed. Rest a bit yes, but kick up your heels through Eternity.”
Tom Bergeron said, “After each of my parents died, Doris Roberts called. On Wednesday we had lunch so I could thank her. So glad I did.”
