NBA reigning champions, the Golden State Warriors, are off to an incredible 24-1 start, breaking various records along the way. Unfortunately for them, their streak of 24 wins in a row was over when they played the Milwaukee Bucks and lost 108-95. However, they are still favorites to win it all with the coaching staff they have and the way they play the game of basketball.
“They play the game the right away, they play as a team, everybody works together and put personal achievements and accolades last,” PE teacher Mr. Maroney said.
“It was an impressive run, good basketball team all around, they play the game the way it should be played, however their streak isn’t going to last long because of the teams they will have to play in future, such as the Cleveland Cavaliers and Oklahoma CIty Thunder,” PE teacher Mr. Angeles said.
Golden State gets the day off and will gear up to play the Phoenix Suns as they look to build up on a new winning streak.
“Golden State is on fire, but I think the Suns can pull off the upset because they play good team defense and have explosive point guards in Eric Bledsoe and Brandon Knight to guard Stephen Curry,” seventh grader Brandon Gomez said.
