The NBA season is about to start and New York Knicks basketball will return. The Knicks’ first scheduled game is against the Cleveland Cavaliers on October 22nd at 7:00 PM.
Last season, the Knicks reached the Eastern Conference Finals until they were eliminated by the Indiana Pacers in six games. The team finished the year with a record of 51 wins and 31 losses.
At the end of the year the team fired head coach Tom Thibodeau.
This offseason hired new head coach Mike Brown and also added players for their bench. The players they signed were Jordan Clarkson, Guerschon Yabusule, and Malcolm Brogdon.
WJPS 11th grader Maxwell Sanz said, “I see a lot of potential this year especially with how far we got last year.”
WJPS 11th grader Brooke Hacsi said, “My expectations are higher since the new coach will bring opportunities to the team to further push the team to do its best.”
