This year, some 11th grade students have signed up for SAT prep classes to help prepare for the SATs.
Test prep started on Monday, February 24th, and will end on March 17th, making a total of ten sessions.
Class is held every Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday directly after school until 4:30 in Mrs. Xanthopoulos’ room.
The class is taught on Zoom by teacher Bridget Querns: a life coach, tutor, and the owner of Queens Coaching.
Students use the Princeton Review Digital SAT Prep 2025 workbook to follow along with the lessons.
WJPS 11th grader Nataly Ramirez said, “I think it is a very helpful program for some, but for others, the fact that it’s over Zoom could negatively impact their experience.”
The book contains four practice tests, proven strategies for scoring success, and complete content review.
Each session, students listen and follow a lecture by annotating in their books. Each chapter contains practice questions to try.
Students learn basic test taking skills, reading and writing strategies, and math to prepare them for the SATs.
WJPS 11th grader Eleftheria Karam said, “I’m grateful for SAT prep because I feel like it really increases my understanding of the content that will be on the test.”
