Teachers in every period are checking if students are wearing uniforms and tracking violations on the online grading and attendance website, Jupiter.

According to WJPS.org, “The school uniform dress code at World Journalism Preparatory School is just one example of the high standards we expect from our students.” 

The policy also states, “The goals of the school uniform dress code are to help students distinguish that different types of dress are appropriate for different settings and provide a neat and comfortable school uniform.”

If you are not wearing your uniform, you may receive lunch detention or after school detention. If you are told multiple times to put on your uniform, your guardians will be contacted at home, either by email or automated call. 

WJPS dean, Ms. McCloskey said, “The WJPS dress code has not become stricter because it has always been the same.”

WJPS 11th grader Luka Lucin said, “The dress code has become stricter because every time I’m not wearing a WJPS shirt they tell me to go get one from the office.”
