Players can travel to the “Forbidden Lands” as a hunter in the upcoming RPG Monster Hunter Wilds. It is a second game to Monster Hunter: Worlds by Capcom.
The “Forbidden Lands” is a land filled with monsters and no people, players enter the territory in hopes to find a missing expedition party.
Players get to create a custom “hunter” character to play throughout the game, fighting and capturing monsters along their journey. As the story goes on, players can collect special rewards to aid them with their gameplay.
With their resources players can craft stronger armor, weapons, and food which helps them fight monsters. All 14 weapons from Monster Hunter: Worlds will be in the game, with some having a few added attachments.
Another feature to the game is the arachnophobia assistance option, meaning people who have a fear of spiders can change them into amorphous blobs.
Monster Hunter Wilds is the first cross platform Monster Hunter Game, allowing people from all different consoles to play together, regardless of the platform. The consoles that it will be available on are PlayStation 5, Microsoft Windows, and Xbox Series X and S.
WJPS 12th grader Lidia Kraljic shared, “I think the game looks cool. I have never played a Monster Hunter game before, but I think I would play Monster Hunter Wilds since the main theme of the game interests me.”
WJPS 12th grader Adam Shalaby said, “The last Monster Hunter game was okay at best, the map was large but not detailed and just plain empty, and you’d be stuck in just a loop of grinding, if the new game is better and not like that then I’ll probably get it.”
