More than 10 years after the game was released, The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth has released its newest downloadable content (DLC) that adds several new features and fixes various bugs. The DLC, named Repentance Plus, is an add-on to the last DLC that was released: Repentance.
The Binding of Isaac is a roguelike (game restarts after death) roleplaying game (RPG) that consists of 11 playable characters who use tears to shoot at enemies. The story of the game follows Isaac’s dream world and what happens within it.
The DLC is free, and adds an online multiplayer feature previously promised by the creator of the game Edmund McMillen. Currently though, online multiplayer is in beta. The DLC is the fourth and final DLC of the game.
WJPS 12th grader Rixiery Montoya stated, “I used to play Binding of Isaac a lot when I was younger in school and I didn’t know they were still updating. I thought the last DLC would have been Repentance.”
WJPS 11th grader Landon Thai said, “The Binding of Isaac should have stopped updating a while ago. The game is very old and outdated.”
