A new restaurant is opening in Fresh Meadows, Queens. The fast food casual restaurant Dave’s Hot Chicken will be opening soon on 188th Street.
Dave’s Hot Chicken specializes in Nashville-style chicken. Their menu consists of a variety of chicken bites, chicken tenders, and sliders. Along with these, the restaurant also offers different kinds of shakes and slushies.
The chain is known for the spiciness of their chicken. Their menu offers levels from “No Spice” for mild heat to the extreme “Reaper,” which requires customers to sign a waiver. This heat spectrum is what earned the chain its fan base over the years.
WJPS 12th grader Preston Ng stated, “I want to try the Reaper flavor on my chicken. I think I can handle it.”
WJPS 12th grader Rixiery Montoya Hernandez said, “I think it’s cool that they’re opening up one in Fresh Meadows. I’m pretty sure the only ones I’ve seen were all in Manhattan.”
