As the year goes by, WJPS will be having parent-teacher conferences. The first conferences of the year will be on November 21st and the 22nd.
In order for parents/guardians to sign up for the conference, they need to sign up on PTC Wizard. They can create their appointments on this website.
WJPS parent coordinator Ms. Reed said, “I am the one who runs the parent-teacher conferences and I designate the meetings and the times.”
WJPS 12th grader Andre Gordon said, “My mom joins the calls, and they discuss for 20-40 minutes about my academics.”
The teachers are able to discuss grades, behavior, and participation. The teachers will also be able to share their screen and show the student transcript and missing assignments.
There used to be an option to go into the school and conduct parent-teacher conferences. However, now it is just strictly online meetings.
The reason for this switch was because of Covid-19. This is because of quarantine; they switched to online and it has been like that ever since.
