World Journalism Preparatory School continued their annual tradition where students went on the 2024 Europe trip.
Staff, chaperones, and students departed days before mid-winter break for Europe. The trip lasted for 10 days where all the attendees were able to explore popular tourist destinations.
This year students were able to visit Greece and Italy. The overall cost was around $3,000 for each person attending the trip. The cost included airplane round trips, meals, and hotels.
WJPS senior Kristen Ng stated, “It was so much fun to be in a foreign country with my friends. I loved going to the Greek monastery and learning about religion and the crucial role art played in it. I loved seeing all the statues and reading the different stories behind them. In Italy, I loved having free time and being able to explore the city, eating gelato, and experiencing the culture.”
WJPS senior Danya Ramirez added on, “I enjoyed visiting museums and learning more about different historical sites like the Acropolis in Athens, Greece and the Colosseum in Rome, Italy. During our trip we also got free time where we got to choose our own activities which I enjoyed.”
World Journalism Preparatory School will still continue the annual tradition when they visit Spain and France in 2025 and Japan in 2026. The annual trip is open to any student who is interested in attending.
