The RTX 4090 performs roughly four times better than its predecessors the RTX 3090 seen via benchmark test.
NVIDIA’s cheapest option in the 4000s is the RTX 4080 12GB with a starting price of $899 with its most expensive option RTX 4090 24GB being $1599.
The RTX 4090 released on October 12th meanwhile the RTX 4080’s set to release sometime in November.
WJPS freshman, Vishnu Negi Singh said, “$1600 is a lot of money, I would rather get a console for at most $550, this graphics card is overkill. A console would be easier to get.”
WJPS senior, Kevin Juarez stated, “The retail price is too expensive, what’s even more crazy is that scalpers will probably sell it for even more money. It isn’t worth it to me.”
