Retired Major League Baseball player and former New York Yankee, Alex Rodriguez, got snubbed from the 2022 Hall of Fame voting. At one time, he was supposed to be a lock for the honor, however, because of his suspension due to steroids, he has been denied.
Nevertheless, David Ortiz, who is considered a lesser player than Alex Rodriguez, made the Hall of Fame even though in 2007 he tested positive for performance enhancing drugs.
That seems that there is a bias in the Hall of Fame voting. No steroid users should be in the Hall of Fame, but the hypocrisy is insane.
A junior from WJPS, Nikolaos Zournatzoglou, stated ”I believe he shouldn’t be in the Hall of Fame because any player that tests positive automatically disqualifies themselves in my eyes.”
Another junior from WJPS, Joseph Jackson, said “I don’t think any steroid user should be in the Hall of Fame and Alex Rodriguez falls into that category.”
