Valorant is a five versus five tactical shooter game released by Riot Games in June of 2020. On November 16th, a new agent Chamber was released.
Valorant has four different types of agents: duelists, initiators, controllers, and sentinels. Each provides a different role in the game; one to enter the site, one to get information, and defend sites.
Each agent is given four abilities, his abilities being:
“Rendezvous”: He is able to place two redeployable teleports to areas he has placed around the map.
“Headhunter”: equips a heavy pistol allowing him to aim down sights.
“Trademark”: places a trap which scans for enemies, and once caught, will be given a lingering slowness effect.
“Tour de Force”: an ultimate ability which equips a sniper rifle, killing any enemy hit, as well as dropping a lingering slowness effect.
These abilities leave many people to ponder how he will be used in the competitive meta for the game.
Giovanni Duran, a WJPS junior stated, “At first I think he’s going to be too overpowered and will receive a nerf soon. It’ll take casual players a while to learn to play against him.”
Ameen Afroz, a WJPS junior said, “I think he’s going to affect the meta positively by being able to teleport. It will be exciting to see how people will counter him competitively.”
