It’s no secret that our climate is changing for the worse, despite many attempts to help improve it. One of these attempts is being made by the man behind the role of Terminator, Arnold Schwarzenegger.
In an interview, Schwarzenegger stated that the government was stupid and that they were scared to reduce carbon dioxide. He also advised people to buy products locally, because he thought buying products overseas was “evil” for the environment.
From 2003 through 2011, Schwarzenegger was the governor of California. His goal was to reduce greenhouse gases and exhaust fumes in order to protect the environment.
“I believe that environmental issues will remain a huge issue, especially as we experience more severe weather. I understand where his frustration is coming from and I believe there are probably some economic factors at play,” stated WJPS assistant principal, Mr. Petrotta.
WJPS science teacher, Ms. Mitsiadis said, “I feel that the government gets in the way of creating a more ‘clean’ approach to energy consumption. We as individuals must see the negative impact on the environment in order to start making those changes.”
Schwarzenegger’s argument is justified because of the low amount of money given by the government.
The former actor turned politician made a business called the “Schwarzenegger Climate Initiative.”
There are other people, such as Elon Musk, who have also attempted to save the environment using things like the technology behind Tesla.
