Khan Academy is a non-profit educational organization created in 2008 by Salman Khan.
This institution produces short lessons in the form of videos with a website that also includes practice exercises and materials for educators.
Students use Khan Academy to learn things they have missed or don’t understand. They also use it to prepare for standardized tests like Regents and SATs.
For every lesson you watch at the end there is a practice quiz to test the students learning.
Khan Academy helps students learn at their own pace and learn different techniques to make the work easier for them to understand.
“It offers an advantage point for students to learn different techniques,” said Ms. Katz, WJPS physics teacher.
“Khan Academy helps students learn because everyone learns differently and at a different pace. It’s a detailed and slow walkthrough on subjects,” said Nazly Colorado, WJPS junior.
