Recently, WJPS’s annual career day took place during second to fourth period. WJPS ambassadors and student government members led career day by escorting guests to their respective classrooms throughout the day.
The leader of ambassadors, WJPS senior Toni Ann Whyte explained the process, “We got a list of the people who came last year and we also asked the students if they knew anyone. Once I got that I contacted everyone, sent a bunch of emails, and I had to make sure to set up a whole spreadsheet with who was confirmed to be coming and then after that we made the schedule which was changed a lot. It was very tentative, but I think the day of its a lot of winging it to make sure everyone gets where they need to be.”
Theresa Drucker, Dario Mastroianni, and Eric Vasquez, were some of the people who attended the event to educate students on their occupations.
