Dozens of alumni from World Journalism Preparatory School were welcomed back into the school for the International Feast on the day before Thanksgiving. They spent their time in the school sharing in the feast, finding other alumni and meeting with teachers they wanted to chat with.
Max Kaufman, an alumni who attended the feast, is currently enrolled at SUNY Purchase and is aiming for a major in history. When asked about his time at WJPS, he said, “I had a fun time with my classes and teachers. They helped me develop during my middle and high school days.”
Jonah Sampedro, an alumni attending Hunter College and majoring in adolescent education for History, said, “WJPS was very close. Kind of like a small family.”
Janae Kea is an alumni attending St. John’s University, majoring in communications and concentration in media and management and minoring in history. When asked about what she misses from WJPS, she said, “I miss the environment. It helped me develop and grow as a person.”
