Recently, the Javits Center held a SUNY, CUNY, and private university college fair. The fair was open to whomever registered and it ran from 11am to 4pm on Sunday, April 24th.
At the convention hall, booths upon booths representing all sorts of colleges from across the world were lined up. Each booth had representatives, usually alumni, to spread information about what the different colleges offered. There were many information pamphlets and brochures available for everyone to take.
Among the many colleges that were represented, some included: Northeastern University, University of Ireland, various Canadian colleges, SUNY’s New Paltz, Albany, Binghamton, Geneseo, and Cortland, Brooklyn College, many Floridian universities, New York University, Drexel, F.I.T., Sarah Lawrence, and many more.
“I thought that the college fair was really informative. There were so many colleges there to let you know what made them different and what they offered,” junior Maxwell Smith said.
The college fair provided a great deal of information from a humongous handful of colleges. The next college fair in New York will be the SUNY fair on May 22 at The Armory Track and Field Center.
