A group of 13 freshmen took a trip to the Main Street Library to apply for a NYCID. This trip took place on March 30th, lead by assistant principal Mrs. Poulos.
Benefits of having a NYCID, besides now having a form of identification, is getting in for free to museums around the four boroughs, and discounts at selected movie theaters.
“I think it’s a great opportunity because I can use this card as a form of id until I have my permit,” freshmen Julia Dimarcello said.
To apply for a NYCID students needed to reach ‘4 points’ of validation of proving one is who they say they are. Forms of identification such as passport, driver’s license, social security card etc.
Students got their pictures taken and their id should arrive by mail with in two to three weeks.
