Teen Wolf is back with new episodes on MTV on Tuesdays at 9pm. The show came back exactly where it left off. The first episode of 5b is all about the aftermath of season 5a finale.
**************WARNING SPOILERS AHEAD***************
Season 5b follows with a continuous storyline instead of a split one. Some of the chimeras who were supposed to be dead turned out to be alive. An old character, Mr. Argent, who left in one of the previous seasons has returned. Dylan Sprayberry known as Liam Dunbar on the show, is now a main character and a part of the Teen Wolf title sequence.
“I was really excited for the season to return because the ending in the first part was so good. The entire episode was crazy and the scenes about Stiles’ life made me emotional,” senior Randy Charter said.
In this season premiere episode, there is a lot of tension between best friends, Stiles Stilinski (Dylan O’Brien) and Scott Mccall (Tyler Posey). Stiles takes his dad, Sheriff Stilinski (Linden Ashby), to the hospital because he has to undergo surgery. Stiles blames Scott for not being there when his father was attacked, who just wants to help his best friend.
An odd thing which may worry viewers is that Scott, who is an alpha wolf, is not healing. He is supposed to be able to heal on his own but he’s not. Theo, who was revealed as a chimera and evil, believes he is dead until he sees a symbol on the walls signifying Scotts pack. Theo then realizes that an alpha has returned and that Scott is alive.
“I thought the first episodes was really good and it had a lot of surprises,” sophomore Emily Perez said.
Teen Wolf’s first episode of season 5b left the viewers with a lot of questions which will hopefully be answered throughout the season.
