High school students were taken to Crocheron Park for the school’s annual field day on October 22 for a day packed with sports activities.
Team building was the purpose of the trip. Students accomplished that by working together and competing against other grades in activities such as team handball, soccer, football, and frisbee. The theme was battle of the grades.
“Field day was a great experience. The best part about it was I got to interact with not only my grade, but also other grades. It would’ve been better if more students went,” junior Morisa Mcaulay said.
Each grade was divided into around six teams, and assigned team colors. Freshmans wore green, sophomores wore red, juniors wore green, and seniors wore black.
“It was well-organized, but I think that the students should have been able to choose what they want to participate in instead of requiring them to play something,“ history teacher Mr. Tesler said.
Many students decided not to participate in field day, but the students who did thought it was a successful day.
