In a decade, students and staff members have hosted many events ranging from school dances to trips to the other side of the world.
On October 7, the carnival celebrating the school’s 10th year anniversary was held in the small school yard. Raffles and food was sold during the carnival.Prizes are given to students with the winning raffle tickets. Some prizes include gift cards, knit hats from Ms. Katz, lunch with Ms. Marks, and many more.
“The carnival was entertaining but there should’ve been larger activities like the joust and there should’ve been better prizes,” sophomore Skylar Kleess said.
School clubs set up tables to promote their clubs to students and encourage them to sign up. Students were given the opportunity to ask questions to club members about the club. Clubs like the Environmental Club, Do Something Club, and Animal Advocate Club, all had tables set up.
“It was fun to see the clubs and what they were about,” sixth grader Kimberly Johnston said.
Students had the opportunity to get free temporary tattoos and their face painted from students who were working there. Students participated in carnival games such as jousting, which was one of the most popular attractions.
Student ambassadors plan to organize more events celebrating the school’s 10 year anniversary as the year goes on.
