Many A$AP and Odd Future fans came together on a Tuesday night to see their favorite artists perform together. A$AP Rocky, Tyler, The Creator, Vince Staples and Danny Brown held their second show on their collaborative tour at the Theater at Madison Square Garden in Manhattan, NYC.
Tyler, The Creator performed many of his old songs at the theater on September 22nd, including, “Jamba”, “IFHY”, “Domo 23” and singles from his new album, Cherry Bomb. The crowd was constantly enjoying Tyler’s performance, although many attended the show for A$AP Rocky.
“I did attend the show more for Rocky cause I like him better than Tyler. I love both their music but I can connect more with Rocky. I had so much fun at the concert, even though I was constantly getting pushed and shoved in the general admissions section,” senior Josabeth Vinas said.
A$AP Rocky performed last with singles from his new album, AT.LONG.LAST.A$AP, and some old music such as “Goldie” and “Wild for the Night”. Since most of the crowd attended the concert for Rocky, people seemed to enjoy his set more.
The concert became hectic after a while when constant pushing and shoving began at the front. Many people became injured due to the moshpits and violence taking place. Most of this occurred in the general admission section because people were standing.
Although, the general admission section was uncomfortable, the music and scenery was very entertaining as expected. Although A$AP Rocky and Tyler, the Creator made a strange mix, they worked very well on this collaborative tour and entertained many.
