Big Bang had entered the United States for their scheduled [MADE] tour concerts.
Big Bang 2015 World Tour [MADE]
Big Bang’s global tour has started with the release of their new album, “MADE”. During the past two weeks, they finished their concerts in some parts of the East Coast and in Mexico. They then headed to New Jersey for their other concerts. They played at the Prudential Center on Saturday, October 10 and Sunday, October 11.
“As a whole, the concert was very stabilized. It was also very simply, yet dynamic. The best part was when each member amazingly performed their roles according to their colors, and teamwork,” party planner Sora Anais Lee said.
Their first concert was in Seoul, Korea on April 25th. They will continue their tour in Canada, South America, Australia, the United States, and Japan.
VIP, their fanbase, have anticipated this album since their last album was released two years ago. During those two years, members of Big Bang pursued solo activities such as acting, singing, and being a comedian.
“I’m like a big fan of it [Big Bang]. When they release a new album, I get really excited. The bad part is the lyrics, maybe. The good thing is the rhythm and beat. It’s catchy. It feels like a party mix song,” 7th grader Silvia Lee said.
An overview of the album series and its sound tracks
The MADE Series is a string of four albums, each entitled with one letter of the word, “MADE,” respectively. One album was released each month, starting in May.
The first album, [M], of the series was released on May 1st. It contains the title tracks, “LOSER” and “BAE BAE.”
“LOSER” was written by T.O.P, TEDDY, and G-Dragon. It was composed by TaeYang and TEDDY. This mid-tempo song portrays the story of a man who is regretful for all the mistakes he made to his former girlfriends and how counterfeit he now feels in public.
“BAE BAE” is a rhythmic rap song written and composed by T.O.P, TEDDY, and G-Dragon. It expresses a man’s glee of his beautiful girlfriend and how he wants her beauty to last forever.
The second album, [A], was released on June 1st. Its title tracks are “BANG BANG BANG” and “WE LIKE 2 PARTY.” It also consists all the songs from the album [M].
“BANG BANG BANG” is a party song that calls for their audience to dance all night.
“WE LIKE 2 PARTY” shows excitement as the members of the band are getting ready to party on a Friday night.
The third album, [D], was released on July 1st. On top of the tracks from the previous two albums, two new songs were added, entitled “IF YOU” and “Sober.”
“IF YOU” is a mellow, yet melancholy song of a man that still has lasting feelings for his girlfriend, even after their relationship ended. He asks that his girlfriend returns to him, if she is feeling nostalgic, just like him.
“Sober” is a very upbeat song. In this song, a man who misses his girlfriend cannot do anything after she has left. The lyrics read that he can’t live in a clear-headed state of mind.
The fourth album, [E], was released on August 5th. It consists of all the songs in the MADE Series, including “Zutter” and “Let’s Not Fall in Love.” This was the final album that was released to complete the [MADE] series.
“Zutter” is a rap duet by G-Dragon and T.O.P, where they boast their popularity and success.
“Let’s Not Fall in Love” explains a story of a man who is uncertain of starting a relationship with a girl that he loves. He is afraid of another relationship that might fail him at the end.
“The only one I don’t like is ‘Zutter.’ It’s… plain… monotone. ‘Let’s Not Fall in Love’ is my favorite song of the album. It’s catchy and it’s got a nice beat,” junior Mike Hua said.
