As the spooky season begins WJPS prepares for the return of the middle school Halloween Costume Party on Friday, October 31st. This annual event is one of the events of the fall season.
Held in the school gym, the Halloween Costume Party has become a tradition at WJPS. It offers music and dancing along with themed photo booths, and a temporary tattoo station.
WJPS eighth grader McKenna Abrahamson said, “I am very excited for the Halloween costume party. Last year, everyone had creative costumes, as well as specific props. It’s important for students like me because it gives inspiration to continue doing well in school.”
McKenna continued, “The music was nice last year, there were a lot of props that we could use. Overall, it was a really good experience.”
WJPS assistant principal Mr. Yarmy said, “One year, the DJ didn’t show up, so I had to pick music off my phone to keep the party going. It actually turned out to be one of my most memorable moments.”
