There’s a new math teacher at WJPS and his approach has made students eager to learn the subject this school year.
WJPS eighth grader Gabriel Valdez stated, “Mr. Schneider helps us learn math in the real world, and that impacts my daily life. It makes the subject feel more fun and relevant.”
According to Mr. Schneider, “My time at WJPS has been good so far and I’ve been welcomed into the school.”
Valdez stated, ”I was very excited to see a new teacher who cares and wants to help us and for us to learn more math.”
Mr. Schneider recently worked at Hawtree Creek Middle School in Queens and wanted a change in a new school environment.
He described teaching as, “a life career change and wanted to do something different.’’
Mr. Schneider can be found teaching in room 325 working with eighth, 10th, and 11th graders.
