SEGA released its latest Sonic the Hedgehog spinoff: Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds. Many Sonic fans can now rejoice that they can Kart race with Sonic and his many friends.
While the release of the game has many fans satisfied, the anticipation of the release has been extraordinary, especially when it comes to the current gaming industry.
Fans have noticed that SEGA has taken much more initiative and care into this game especially with acknowledging fan criticism from their beta test along with adding improvements from their previous game’s low points.
There has also been a debate about pricing. Many of Nintendo’s current products average around $80-$100 with little consideration from Nintendo which has many of their fans in disbelief and feeling disconnected.
If companies wish to receive the same praise that SEGA has seen recently then they should listen to their fans’ suggestions more often and look back at their recent game’s criticism.
WJPS 9th grader Xavier Marsoobian said, “I think it’s a good thing especially for competition. They haven’t had the best decade so I’m glad to see SEGA being acknowledged again.”
WJPS 11th grader Yianna Savidis said, “I don’t quite mind it. I’m glad they are making a comeback as I do enjoy their games.”
