A new feature film centered on the world of Formula 1 is set to hit theaters June 27th. Directed by Joseph Kosinski, the film stars Brad Pitt as a seasoned driver making a comeback to mentor an apprentice of a fictional racing team.
Filming took place during real Grand Prix weekends, and according to Car and Driver, Mercedes designed fresh bodywork to mimic proper F1 racers while also ensuring that the race cars could carry an array of cameras.
WJPS 12th grader Dante Lobsoco stated, “I like Formula racing and it’s enjoyable but I feel like the idea of it is overused. I don’t see a way they can make it different or unique but if they do it can be really big.”
WJPS 12th Grader Jordan Juarez stated, “I find interest in Formula 1 racing as entertainment so if this movie can copy those aspects this movie can be great and enjoyed by all ages”
