This week is dedicated to showing one’s favorite teachers appreciation.
Tell a favorite teacher that he/she is appreciated and give them reasons why. Most teachers work hard to help their students succeed.
“[I appreciate] Ms.Lueth because she is very persistent on making sure I’m in school on time and helps me with my math when needed,” junior Joshua Vergara said.
“My favorite memory is when Ms.D planted a tomato on my seat and for the rest of the day I had tomato stains on my pants,” sophomore David Legunas said.
“I’d like to give a special thanks to Ms.Marks because Ms.Marks has taught her english class in a whole different light,” freshman Esther Animalu said, “She introduced the spoken word curriculum and it proved to me poetry can be performed and have a different meaning.”
Ways to show teacher appreciation are: writing them letters, tweeting and Instagramming a favorite teacher using the hashtag #WJPSnews, E-mailing them a favorite memory of learning together, or buying them a small gift or simply telling them “thank you.”
“I will leave apples on my teachers desk and show up to their class early instead of late,” senior Anthony Castagliola said.
“Ms. Fong blows my mind the way she teaches,” 8th grader Carmela Digioia said.
