WJPS has a variety of clubs, open to most students in the school, which is very beneficial to students.
However, many students who attend WJPS don’t join clubs. This can be for a number of reasons, one being students aren’t interested in the clubs given. Due to this, the school should open up more clubs, giving a survey of students interests and, based on that, make clubs that align with those interests.
If the school had more clubs, it would open up the opportunity for students to make more friends, build up skills, help with college applications, and give them a break from the stress of class.
WJPS sixth grader Ava Vragolic said, “I think WJPS should have more clubs because some people don’t like most of the clubs and I think we need more options and I feel like this could be an amazing opportunity to make more friends.”
WJPS 12th grader Ariana Lucin said, “I think they should make more clubs because it would make the school environment so much more enjoyable. I’ve never found a club that I was interested in joining so they should make more because I’m sure other people feel this way.”
