WJPS has recently just welcomed a new school aide, Ms. Hulme.
She was born and raised in Bayside.
When asked why she chose this job, Ms. Hulme stated, “All my kids are away at college, and I love the vibe of a school and being surrounded by kids and the learning environment.”
Ms. Hulme did not work at any previous schools; however, she volunteered at her kids’ schools for 12 years.
When asked, “What makes WJPS stand out to you?” Ms. Hulme stated, “All the staff members are wonderful to be around, and every individual has a story to tell.”
She also stated, “When students wave to me, that means the world to me.” She has a lot of respect for the students and loves to watch them learn.
Ms. Hulme loves to see students being kind to one another, “even if it’s just picking up a lost ID card and returning it.”
Ms. Hulme described her workday as, “I work in the main office and take care of daily tasks, as well as monitor the bathroom for three periods.”
She loves that the school is filled with students with so many wonderful interests.
